Where Our Data Comes From

Transparency is at the core of our editorial standard. Every statistic, grade, and financial figure presented on this site is drawn directly from the following official government datasets:

• School Profile & Details: DfE Get Information About Schools (GIAS) bulk establishment extract
• Exam Results & Performance: DfE Compare School & College Performance — KS4 2024-2025 (Attainment 8) & 2023-2024 (Progress 8)
• Inspection Judgements: Ofsted 'Management information — state-funded schools — latest inspections' (Nov 2025)
• Financial Data: DfE Schools Financial Benchmarking / Explore Education Statistics

Our Data Honesty Policy

To maintain trust with our readers, we adhere strictly to the following rules when presenting school information:

• Every figure is copied from an official DfE/Ofsted dataset — none are estimated. Missing values are null, never zero.
• Progress 8 does not exist for 2024-2025 (cohort had no KS2 baseline); the 2023-2024 value is used and dated.
• Post-Sept-2024 Ofsted inspections carry no single overall grade — do not invent one.
• We do not guess or estimate figures. If a data point is missing from the national datasets (for example, due to a school being too new, or data being suppressed for privacy), we state clearly that it is not available.
